INTERVIEW SLIINK - QUESTIONS by Sam Tiba & Dj Slow

DJ SLOW : At what age did you start making music and what and/or who gave you the inspiration to start producing ?

I Started Producing Music Around The Age Of 16, My Younger Brother Was Prouding Music Before Me. I Got Pretty Much Inspired By His Work, I Wanted To Do The Same.

SAM TIBA : Close your eyes and think about Europe. What do you see ?

Hmmm , I See A Lot Of Lights, Flowers , A Lot Of French People And Many Restaurants.

DJ SLOW & SAM TIBA : So what we really love about your tracks is that you always explore new boundaries and sounds, which non-club artists have you been listening to the most recently ? Also, who are your favorite european djs/producers ?

Thank You ! , Ive Been Listening To Baauer , Flosstradamus, And Hudson Mowhawk, A Lot Of People Maybe Similar To Them. My Fave European , Pelican Fly And Cheval Of Course And Teki Latex And Orgasmic. I Really Cant Pin Point , But Most Europen Music Is Good With Me.

SAM TIBA : I don't do much interviews but I've been wondering. What's the most boring question you're often being asked during interviews ?

It Would Have To Be How I Started, Because I Always Have The Same Story And It Repeats Everytime lol.

DJ SLOW & SAM TIBA : What is your favourite dance move, and will you perform it for us next wednesday at the Social Club in Paris ?

No No No , I Am The Baddest Dj Dancer lol. I Really Dont Know How To Dance At All, I Can Slow Dance Hahahah.

SAM TIBA : Can you explain what is Jersey Club and how it differs from Baltimore Club ? I'm having a hard time explaining this. I mean I feel it but it's hard to put words on it. Save me.

I Get This A Lot , I Think Jersey Club Like Specifically Have More Attention To Vocal Work. Baltimore Is Like More Basic , Less Complicated , More Of Sing Along Stuff. I Think Jersey Club Is Also Specifically For Like Hype Dancing, To Where Baltimore May Have A Little More Spirit. If I Dont Make Sense , Im Very High Right Now So Forgive Me.

DJ SLOW : What are for you, the five most essential club staples that no one can fucks with ever ?

Dj Tim Dolla Hit It To The Beat

Dj Jayhood - Hands On Your Hips

Dj Sliink - Number One Remix

Dj Tameil - Just Fine

K Swift & Blaqqstarr - Ryda Girl

SAM TIBA : Is everyone in the world "authorized" to produce jersey club ? Is there some kind of hostility or distrust towards non-Jersey producers trying to bite the style ?

I Mean , I Feel Anyone Is Allowed To Make It. If It Fits Well And People Like It , I Rather For Them To Do How They Feel. Today I Really Like How Music Is Comming Together Its Not So Spread Out

DJ SLOW : In Europe, a lot of people are thinking that there is a link between Jersey Club and Jersey Shore, which is of course totally inappropriate and stupid ; that being said, have you ever watched the show ? If so, who's your favourite character ?"

Man Its All Wrong , I Hate That Show , Never Really Paid It Attention. Its Not Sincere Most Characters Are Not From NJ , Its So Commercial

SAM TIBA : Can you tell us more about that #TEAM system in the Jersey Club Scene ? Every dj or producer relates to a team ? And what is Cartel Music ?

The Team Basically Differ All The Close Producers. In Some Ways Been Split Into Teams Is Good , But Can Be Bad In A Way. I Think Everyone Should Eventually Get Together & Work As A Unit.

Sam Tiba : Wassup with that beard ? Are you gonna shave it some day ? When you reach the million ?

Lol ! Well I Cant Really Cut It Because It Is A Big Roll In My Religion, Im Muslim.
